About Me
Hi there! My name is Nya Hazell.
I am a visual development artist from Michigan. On this website you can find my portfolio filled with concept design and storyboard work.

I've always had a fascination with fiction and how a good story can make you forget the world around you. Words are powerful, but combined with a visual medium, they become awe-inspiring. I've made it my mission to help put as many sincere stories out into the world as possible that will inspire others just as I have been inspired myself.

If I'm not working on my own projects, I'm usually knee-deep in those of others! I love reading manga and have been slowly amassing a collection of crime dramas and romantic stories. I also spend an awful lot of time playing action-oriented video games—even if I'm not very good at them. The genre of a work has a huge effect on what gets emphasized the most, whether it be sprawling environments, eye-catching characters, or anything in-between. Through this "research" disguised as play, I've found that there's no one way to design something, and that's what keeps things fun!

Outside the realm of storytelling, I've been playing the piano since I was a child, and watch the Formula 1 racing season every weekend with my father. Finding hobbies like this to share with friends and family is what keeps me excited to try out new things—it can serve as a reprieve or even inspiration for new stories.
